From June 16th, 2008 to June 28th, 2009 our family traveled 16,652 miles throughout the United States and Canada. We traveled to 35 states, 3 Canadian provinces, and 30 or so major cities where we connected with over 70 mercy ministries that reach out to and love on the poor. It was a year of obedience, a year of learning, and a year of falling deeper in love with Jesus as we served the least of these.
Our RV (nicknamed Big Buster):
YEAR: 1993
MAKE: Holiday Rambler
MODEL: Imperial
ENGINE: Cummins 5.9L Turbo Diesel
MODIFICATIONS: Big Buster has been converted to run on Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO). We go to restaurants who fry foods and ask them if we can have their used vegetable oil that is usually located behind the restaurant next to the garbage dumpsters. Not only has this saved quite a bit in our budget, but it is also good for God’s green earth reducing carbon emissions by more than 75%. You can learn more about veggie conversion by going to Frybrid or Golden Fuel Systems
Our system was done by Green Eye Autos of Eugene, Oregon.
