Eating together

Partcipating in meals here at Joshua Station (and many other places) has proven to be the best way to get to know people.

On Thursdays they have a community dinner which we were invited to join.  Afterwards the adults get together and have a Town Hall meeting to discuss business, celebrate goals that have been acheived, and go over chores, etc.  While the meeting is going on they have Kids Club for all the kids.  Tim and Jenn took part in the meeting while Andy and I helped with Kids Club.

Last night we invited everyone to a bbq and served up about 30 burgers/hotdogs while the kiddos all watched Cars on the big-screen t.v. in the dining room.

And this afternoon we were served and blessed by a family here at Joshua station.  Laurie and her kids made frybread tacos for us and honored us with special hand-made gifts.  We were so encouraged!

Tonight we will go to Scum of the Earth to join their church family for dinner and church service.  We are looking forward to meeting everyone there!

“Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”  Acts 2:46-47
