What a day!

Wow!  Let the Kingdom come!  Today was awesome!

We took about 35 youth from Community Covenent down to a government funded housing area of Kansas City, called T.B. Watkins.  We brought 50 handmade sandwiches, lots of chips, cold water with some chairs, blankets and soccer balls.  Set down the coolers and within minutes we had a swarm of kids around us ready to play.  The highschool kids got right in and started playing games with the kids, talked with the moms and served up all the sandwiches, water and chips.

We had just listened to the pastor give a message on how we as believers should be a city of refuge to the broken, hurting just like Jesus is a refuge to anyone who comes to Him.

Well, we got to act it out today.  The little park in the center of this government housing area was a place of refuge, fun and joy.  We were honored to be a part of it.  And we will pray that this is a perfect opportunity to continue ministering right in their home town.
